DAS-20 from $1799
High Performance Analog and Digital Interface Board
for IBM Compatibles
The DAS-20 is a high performance analog a digital full-length I/O board designed for high data throughput, high accuracy and low noise. The DAS-20 can be operated in 16 channel single ended or 8 channel differential input modes (selected by on board switch). There are 7 software selectable input ranges available including both unipolar (0 to 10V) and bipolar (+10V) configurations. The available gains range from 0.5X to 100X with input resolutions ranging from 4.88 mV down to 24.4 mV. By adding a single user installed resistor, the input range may be set to the exact requirements of the application. The A/D converter may be triggered 3 ways: by software command, by the on board counter/packer clock, or by an external pulse. Transfer of data may be performed by software/program control. PC interrupt or by direct memory access (DMA). Two channels of analog output are included, and D/A converters have 12 bit (1 part in 4096) resolution and are switch selectable for 0 to 10 V, +5V, or 10V output ranges. Included with the DAS-20 is an onboard five channel counter timer. Digital I/O on the DAS-20 consists of 16 TTL compatible lines, divided into one 8 bit output port and one 8 input port.
The DAS-20 comes complete with a utility software package. The utility software includes:
